01 · THE PROJECT

A Waterford base for making the packaging Ireland, the UK and Europe already need.

Proposed Waterford packaging facility exterior at dusk

The first phase makes printed paper packaging: pizza boxes in different specifications and sizes, plus takeaway products made from the same paper-and-board materials.

The campus is planned as a local production, storage and dispatch hub serving Ireland, the United Kingdom and wider European Union markets. A later phase can add pharmaceutical packaging, but only with the higher standards, controlled processes, plastics and aluminium capabilities that regulated products require.

Phase 2
Regulated pharma packaging

🍕 Pizza boxes

Multiple box formats with printing, conversion, hygiene control, storage and dispatch.

🥡 Takeaway products

Paper-based takeaway packaging using compatible material handling, printing and finishing capability.

🧪 Future pharma phase

A separately assessed expansion using higher-specification quality systems and plastics/aluminium printing and conversion.

Scope boundary: this is packaging-material manufacturing — not food production and not pharmaceutical production. Food-related packaging requires hygiene controls; pharma is a future regulated phase, subject to validation.
